I finally took the time to sit down and finish my green loom scarf. This was the first one made using the rectangular loom. It’s actually been finished all but the fringe. I put the TV on something I could listen to instead of watch and started to work. I’d pictured a long fringe so I wrapped the remaining yarn around a book that seemed just the right size. When it came time to cut the ends ol’ Hubster came in asking questions and messed me up. I ended up cutting where I didn’t want to cut. The result was that my fringe was half the size I’d wanted it. But you know, that was probably for the good. It really turned out better than I had originally thought it would.
Because I used the yarn from both ends of my large skein it made things sometimes tricky when I was turning the yarn skein over. But because there were two threads running all the time and I didn’t stress over keeping every line straight it made a very nice pattern with a few twists and inter-twinings in it.
It has a very relaxed and comfortable feel to criss-cross pattern. And it goes well with green eyes!
It’s approximately 32 inches long x 5 inches wide with 4 inch fringe on both ends. Plus it’s about ½ inch thick – very warm!
