A new group is singing tonight for the first time. I’m pretty excited. When I was growing up there weren’t any other people into singing like this. A few years later it was all the rage. But tonight Pat, Mikey, Susan and I will be singing the Call to Worship for the Thanksgiving Eve Service. There’s no guarantee how things will turn out but we’re gonna give it a try anyway.
Susan came over after church to pick up a replacement CD for the one she’d loaned someone else. I mean, the Director should have a CD of the accompaniment, don’t you think! We were able to sit down and talk a few things over and she is glad to have me as an “assistant” to back her up. She’s one busy gal and I’m only too glad to help pull music and make things work for her. I ‘m pretty stoked. I always wanted to sing in a group and I love to pick out the music. I’m very happy right now.
While she was here we had her play Robin’s guitar. It needed playing and she knows how. I can only “play at it” and even that is just enough to be dangerous. It was good to hear it again. I also told her that I have an autoharp. Who knows? Maybe that will be a new addition to the line-up one day!
Well that’s about all for today. I have to be at church in 45 minutes to rehearse before the service. Have a good Thanksgiving where ever you are!
