More Ground Work

He recently took the dog pen down. We were brain-storming for an idea and Voila! The new Tomato Climbing Fence is born! It might be a bear later to get the dead limbs out of, but that’ll be for another day.

While taking my pictures I ventured out to see my favorite flowers, the irises. The wind was blowing so hard I couldn’t really get any of the flowers without blur, but I held this one long enough for a quick inside look.
Crapola! I forgot to smell it. My preference is the Purple ones that smell like bubble gum anyway.

We put some newly purchased Cucumbers (thank you, Daddy) and Spinach in today, as well as the Leek bulbs we saved from last year. I wish we’d gotten them in the ground sooner. This hot weather in the greenhouse has made them start to dry up. But we managed to find a few good ones. The space is filling up. That’s good – maybe it’ll keep the weeds down.  We moved the fence from behind them to between the rows to hedge bets that they’d actually reach it.
