Another sinus thing going on. Just started about 2 minutes ago but thot I’d try to do this since I already had the program open. The weather is so awful now – hot one day, cold next. All I did was open the front door and then got the headache. Hope it goes away soon. I hate taking pills for this…too many pills is not good; so is too many head aches.
Took Mom’s 24 hr. heart monitor back to the doc for her this morning. Nice little trip; next door to Leigh Hospital. Mom’s getting ready to go thru all the tests again. Says there's a “flutter” around her heart area, but the EKG taken at the doc’s last week showed normal. I tend to hold to the normal aspect. I’ve asked Mom to keep a log of what she eats, what she’s doing and has been doing when she gets that sensation. Maybe we can figure something out. None of the doctors she’s been to over the last 4 years have found anything. So now it’s up to us.
Today is Melissa’s first day of work at her new job. I’ve been thinking about her a lot; I know first days can suck, but she’s such a sweetheart maybe she’ll have a lovely day, even if it is a lot to take in at one time. She had orientation last Friday, which she says counted as her first actual day. But today she’s in the saddle, not just looking at the horse.
Our two little rose bushes are jamming now. Even the big “root rose” that Melissa insisted we keep is blooming. That said, it’s so susceptible that it’s never anything but a sickly plant. A long time ago we had a hybrid rose bush; the purchased part died and the graft lived. That’s why it’s a root rose. The roses aren’t very full, just a token flower, but they are a lovely color.
Earlier I went out and finally got those Clematis plants repositioned in new places. Not sure if one will make it or not. I’m hoping that I just pruned it too much at the wrong time and it will come back next year if not this year. It has tried to produce, but stressed out.
Dan watered my little lovely plants and put some in the bird bath. We watched the mockingbird take several baths in delight.
At 2pm Mom and I went to visit the Daniels; Mr. Daniels has passed after being sick for years. I made a couple of packs of the Knorr noodles. I love them and since they have little kids there, figured they would be well accepted. Mom, of course, went the extra mile and made a cream cheese pie. The funeral is tomorrow. I told Mom everyone would understand if they didn't go. It's supposed to be raining and neither of them feel too perky.
It was so hot when we got back that I took my shower and put my pjs on. All I need now is my little drinky-poo. We’re waiting for a storm to get here so I finally turned the AC on, thinking that if we had to close up everything it would be almost mortally hot in here. A good excuse for cool air, don’t you think?
