Surprise

I called Mom this morning to see if she would like me to go with her on her Saturday routine (hair and errands). We left a little after 9am. I started a small Afghan Crochet washcloth with some leftover cotton yarn while she got her hair done. A quick stop for toenail polish touchup and then we were off towards Greenbrier. On the way we made a stop by AAA and picked up some maps and triptiks for our impending Colorado trip (hopefully next month).

Continuing into the traffic zone Mom had “lightweight summer blanket” on her GET list today so we scanned the shelves at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, finding a good deal on a queen size minty green number. A store coupon sealed the deal.

Next we headed over to Ruby Tuesdays for soup and salad bar (sorry, Danny, no doggy bag today). Everything was great and we had a lovely lunch before the noon crowd got there.

We both tend to run down at about the same time; our couple of hours of energy and desire spent we headed the iron horse towards home. We only caught the tail-end of the bridge lift so it didn’t take long to get on “our” side. One  more stop and I ran in to grab some milk for Mom and off we went. The car seemed to know it’s journey was almost over.

Dan was cutting grass when I arrived. I quickly changed out of those hot jeans and meandered in to cut on my computer. OMG! What’s this? ROSES --- Aw!

Isn’t he sweet?! What a nice surprise!
