I joined the Women That Crochets Ning this week. It’s a small community of wonderful crocheters who enjoy their craft; most have been doing it for ages and one lady actually learned from her great-grandmother. How awesome! I really look forward to learning some new skills from the talent on there. The cool thing about a small group is that it’s like sitting in your living room with folks. You feel a bond and have the confidence to speak up and ask questions. I know there are Nings out there that have over 1000 members, but that’s not for me. I don’t want to have to weed through all the crapola of playing word games, and cute little glittery “thought for the day” posts. I just want to learn about crochet, see what the ladies have made and ask questions when I can’t figure it out.
I also became a member of the WebRing Crocheters Annonymous and I’m excited to be part of this super organization!
