After my talk with the shop owner about putting handmade crocheted washcloths into her store I have been inspired to go into the washcloth business. At least as a test run. I stopped by Michael’s yesterday and picked up 8 little skeins of 100% cotton to try my hand at making it work (as Tim Gunn would say). They had so many colors to choose from it was hard to decide which ones to bring home.
In my job I sit around and wait for faxes to show up from India so I watch TV and crochet (I know - killer job). I’d kind of gotten out of the mood to do much crocheting now that the weather has gotten warm. Let’s face it, it’s nice to crochet in winter when all that yarn is helping to keep your lap warm. Making cute little washcloths out of these cute little balls of cotton will just fit my summer bill: nothing bulky, nothing hot, easy to carry around with you. I can’t wait to get started!
