It’s been like that for several weeks. Alternating weather. Makes the garden grow. We moved a bush yesterday that I’d rooted last year in a pot. We didn’t have to water it because it rained almost as we finished patting down the last dirt. And bonus, the cars get washed! Of course the dirt on them is from the wet driveway, so it evens out.
Melissa is sounding a bit stronger now. Mono saps your strength for sure. In the middle of this she had to finish up her last class – a retreat. I guess it was a good way to transition into life. Graduation is in 2 weeks and then it’s a done deal!
Danny is feeling better now. He finally went for a follow-up with Doc; he’s totally off what meds that cardio guy gave him. We’re starting to think that when he saw Dan he thought “fresh meat.” Those meds were giving Danny problems and making him feel worse. So now, Dan’s on blood pressure pills only and doing great. No heart crap.
I have spent the last week or so getting cramps after eating. I know in the past stress has been a factor; I’m starting to think it’s part of this latest round too. I used almost all of my pills and found out they don’t make them anymore. When Dan picked up my “refill” it was for something else; research showed there are sometimes problems and people had posted “beware.” I found “MY” pills at another store and got another prescription called in, but when I picked it up it was for more of the same mess. They were going to change it out for the good stuff still in stock, but the insurance said it had been less than 30 days (less than 1 day). Funny thing is that the insurance was ok with letting me buy more crappy stuff with no problem. And get this: crappy costs $35 at Harris Teeter; only $10 at Walgreens! What’s up with that? But they were very nice and wrote my name on one of the last 2 bottles on the shelf and said to come back in 30 days to get it. Cool!
So I’m leery about eating much away from home now. Darn, and banquets and wedding coming up soon! My only recourse is to sit and chill. I’m trying! Last week I told Danny I needed to just get away for a while. He finally agreed and I told him since he’d agreed we could go to Oriental it was enough – just know we could have was ok. So we stayed home. But I am looking forward to some thing cool later on, like August or September. If we still have any $$ left after everything is said and done, I’m taking a trip to somewhere!!! Woo-Hoo!
Yesterday I tossed in the towel on my own hosted store. I just never could get the logistics of adding all my products to Google via database and without that ya got nothing. So I moved my items back to my Bonanzle store (they upload to Google for you) and pointed my LadieAnn.com name to that site. So all my old links are still working and it’s all good. I just couldn’t bring myself to put my handmade crochet and vintage stuff into my online thrift store. It’s just not the same. Hopefully it will play out the way I’m thinking. With both stores the good news is that it can just sit there and it doesn’t cost a thing.
