A while back Danny was on a search for something (I forget what) and by chance, went to the house that serves as a business next to where he works. The business was pretty much finished and there was lots of “good junk” all around the yard, waiting for a future clean-up. While chatting with the man there about the something Hub’s was looking for Hub’s spied a long thing laying next to the side of house. Thinking it might be a sailboat mast he went to inspect it closer.
No, it was a flagpole! A real flagpole like you see at a school or business. Now, this flagpole makes our little upright “pipe” really look like the half-hearted attempt it was, with the suspended flag usually half as long as the pole itself. With our little pole pole there was no such thing as “half-mast” on Memorial Days. We do have enough yard to carry off hosting a large flagpole. By July 4th we’ll be up and flying! And we even have a gold ball on top, to boot!
