The Cabbage Patch

I don't have much to report this day. I did run outside in my slippers to take a picture for you. Here are my first and only ever Cabbages that I planted. They are finally starting to head up. We all know that they will probably get wormy and bolt in the heat before I ever get to eat any, but it's fun to try.

So I went around to see if I could find anything else. Darn, I didn't even think to look in the Herb Garden. I glanced into the greenhouse - all dead. Everything I'd put in there on the off chance that it would live is gone. I guess I will have a fresh start come Spring.

As I scaled the deck steps I noticed that my three little Chrysanthemums are about the only things still living.

They were hiding underneath all the dried stems of old blooms and will get a new least on life when they are transplanted to a new home later in the season.

When I got back into the house this is what awaited me...camped out waiting for her supper.
