I was looking at some blogs this morning about people who RV around the country. I came across this photo of strung air plants from Hardts On The Highway and their post about the Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, FL.

Aren't they cool? Missy - take note!

Here at home the temps are heading south too. As the cold front moved through early this morning the winds woke me up about 4:30. It rained earlier this week, so the ground is very damp and with this cold it's very chilly outside. Abby sleeps with her own personal afghan now and at one point didn't want to go outside at all until we put her sweater on. I do need to make that child another one so she can alternate.

Tomorrow my youngest will turn 28 years old. Wasn't it only yesterday when she arrived too early for me to get to the hospital? It was like Keystone Cops watching the ambulance crew struggle to get a gurney into the narrow halls of my house trailer. I finally put them out of their misery and offered to walk the rest of the way to get on the thing. I thought they'd drop me as they navigated my old mis-matched blocks that formed a semblance of a walkway. It was cold and rainy that night too, but they managed to get me all the way in to Norfolk. (oh, that we'd had the new hospital back then)!

Yes, my baby is almost done with the 20s. I keep telling this workaholic to enjoy these years while she can; that work will always still be there tomorrow. "It's now or never, my Dear!" All of a sudden and find you're pushing 60! There are no manuals in this growing older stuff. I guess each is left to their own devices.

Everyone here is doing well. The poker house hunt club next door continues to be a beacon neighborhood  gathering place, which I'm sure is why my folks keep on keeping on. They never meet a stranger and it still shows after 64 years of marriage.

I'm listing new used items in my Eccentric Thrifter store. Dan is plowing through closets and boxes and other cubby holes where he keeps his stuff. He's now to the point of downsizing. I think seeing the RV sitting in front of his shop is inspiration, as is that sailboat that is still being worked on. In both circumstances acquired stuff is not something you want to be anchored down with. The yard sale is still being planned. O Lord, please let it happen in the next few months so I can see the garage again! I'm sure the cat won't know where to go once it's cleaned out again!
