Last week Missy came home, Lindsey came out, we celebrated a family birthday, we saw the puppies. Daddy was feeling pretty good again; Mom was feeling pretty good. Everything was lovely.
I'm pleased to say that. a week later, things are still pretty lovely around here. The huge weeping cherry tree in the back yard bloomed and looked absolutely glorious. My heart soared every time I looked at it. Even now, when we drive down the road and see all the blossoming trees they are simply beautiful; you have to stop and thank God for each one of them and for Him painting such a show for us.
On Tuesday morning I went to have the injections in my neck, right over top of my collarbone. It was unpleasant and hurt like heck. Then to top it all off, they weren't able to actually get the medications injected and it was all a moot point to the whole thing. I am left with a lot of bruising and soreness still. I'm debating whether to even pursue another attempt later. I think my tingling arm from a pinched never is actually the lesser of the two evils.
Wednesday I made it to this week's Bible study with no problem; my friend Gail came by and I rode with her. But the week before had been so busy I didn't get a chance to read the 5 days of study. Well, that went over badly, didn't it? I am determined to not just 'move on' but to go back and do the missed sessions. The whole point of the study is to enlighten and improve yourself based on God's Rule Book and the lessons He showed His servant, King David - a guy who came from just tending sheep to becoming a national ruler... just an ordinary guy that followed God. Why aren't we all doing that? Well, that's the point of the study. Anybody can and should do that!
When Dan went to have his 2nd dental implant done yesterday morning I took my study book and Bible with me. I read to Abby who slept through it all, but managed to get several days caught up. I still have a way to go and then I'll start on this week's study.
As for Danny, he's doing better this time than he did last time and said the experience wasn't as intense. He took a pain pill before he left the dentist and spent yesterday in bed. I'm sure he'll do the same today and lay low over the weekend. Abby is loving it - she keeps tabs on him and gladly sleeps when he does, curled up next to him the whole time.
The online community for eCrater store owners that I run is coming along nicely with all the new changes we've been incorporating. I took over ownership of the site on Feb. 29. It takes a lot of time, but I really enjoy working with it and all the members are so supportive and for some it's like extended family. That's pretty rare on a computer, don't you think?
Today will be quiet, tomorrow will be nice and quiet... I should get a lot done! Being quiet and peaceful is definitely part of the plan.
