Fits nicely on my California king-sized bed, don't you think? This is about 8 inches larger than my original blanket from the 1970s.
If you look real hard you'll notice that the very center section is a tad lighter. There is also a band about 8 inches from the outside border that is in that same lighter color. Luckily, the two colors are so close to one another than it's barely noticeable. Good thing because I was not going to take it apart after getting that far into the project.
I have another skein of dark blue, but I'm not sure how close it is to the blue I've used. I may or may not just say the heck with it and go for it. Hubster likes my new blanket because now it's long enough to cover his toes instead of him having to use the old blanket catacornered!
PS: I did decide to remove the two sides on that last row I mentioned in my previous post.
