Happy Birthday!

Last year's birthday celebration

Looks like the last time I posted it was around Hubster's birthday. Here it is, exactly one month later and it's around Mom's birthday....tomorrow. It wasn't Veteran's Day back when she was born; that designation came later, but ever since I've been helping her celebrate birthdays she's always been a Veterans Day baby to me.

It's nice that her birthday comes at her favorite time of year. She's always been a Fall colors lady, loving the russets, oranges, golds, and olives. Her recent renovations have seen redistribution of those colors throughout her home in new ways. It makes year-round look like her favorite season!

I believe the girls are taking Mom to lunch tomorrow to celebrate. What's better than good friends and good food? She usually gets an extended birthday event over several days. She gets lots of cards and by Sunday the family will have gathered for the traditional cake and gifts. I'm looking forward to it!
