No less than 4 appointments on 4 different days this past week. Then on the 5th day I ended up driving someone else to yet another appointment. Where is my life? I think it is all nicely tied up on my calendar squares. But I can’t totally complain. One day the appointments were for massages! The last commitment we had penciled in was for dinner with friends at a favorite hibachi restaurant. What a perfect way to end a “work” week. Plus, having seats by the grill made it even better! OMG, and the food was so good!
When I wasn’t on the road last week I was trying to learn about some new software on the church computer. Not easy, since I don’t actually use it on Sundays. But I hope to be able to help those who do by getting the lyrics in ahead of time each week. The trouble is, the computer is too old to operate the program correctly. I’ve already had the tech support on the phone 3 times. They browsed around the computer remotely and discovered that the graphics card to incredibly old. I think once we get an updated computer we’ll be ok. But meanwhile, it’s very stressful not to mention annoying to try setting anything up.
So today is my relief day after all the drama of the week. I’m in my cozy clothes, the critters are asleep (momentarily), Hubster is puttering around somewhere, and I’m enjoying peace and quiet (not counting a local political robocall that was promptly disconnected).
For a morning bright spot, a few minutes ago Hubster brought in the game camera we got as a Christmas gift. I didn’t know he had set it in the woods last week. I quickly checked the few images it captured…. Why, by golly, we got our first deer picture!
We got another of her coming towards the camera, but just a little of her back was showing. I think we’ve learned a valuable lesson here – wherever Hubster has mounted it is a bit too high. We’ll fix this tiny error in judgment quickly. But how exciting to get a photo of something other than my two dogs!
Things are looking up! Life is still good!
