I had a good week last week. I hope today is not a sign of things to come. Today at work I had to help with a mailing. Now you know me enough to know that I'd done tons of mailings when I worked on the church newsletters for 7 years. But that was before the torn rotator cuff. Today it "weren't pretty." I did some deep breathing and kept at it as long as I could, then bailed.
I then went to Dr. Barr's with my xrays. She ended up giving me about 4 shots in the front of my shoulder, which hurt something fierce. She also told me it's going to hurt for a couple of days. Thanks a bunch. But it may end up saving me from some surgery. As long as I can eventually start using my arm again without the tingling and hanging up problem.
I'm not working tomorrow so I'm going with my to her doc appointment, then we're going to visit Goodwood again near Pembroke. She's been trying to decide on a new kitchen table for almost 2 years now. She's getting closer all the time to making a final decision.
Daddy is picking berries and vegetables these days, you know the deal. It's been so hot in the upper 90s that he has to do what he needs to in the early morning hours before it gets unbearable.
Today while I was driving to Barr's it was so hot that even with the air conditioning on I could feel the heat inside the truck from the ceiling down to my eyes. It just never could get cool enough to be cool.
Oh well, I think a drinky-poo will offset all the miserable discomforts of the day. Danny has been making me a small drink with milk, I don't know the name, but I like it because it's sweet. I was so tense today with that pain and big ol' needle that Doc had to remind me to breathe. My little drink will relax me while I ice the old bones down.
May all your days be needle-less! ~ LJ
