Can you believe that the first week of August is already gone?! It's hard to remember that we spent so many years looking forward to the day when Danny could retire and now he's been out just about 6 months already! Lindsey had her 1st year anniversary for working at Norfolk Southern in July. Where does the time go?
For me it goes while I sit at this computer. Try as I might to change my lifestyle I still pretty much follow the same routine. Working on genealogy and enjoying the quiet time in the mornings usually sees me out her as early as 6:30am some days. Then I get involved and next thing I know it's almost noon. I have a little sticky note program on my computer that I've set up to flash at 10am and 2pm to remind me to get up and go outside. Of course, it's been SO hot lately, like who wants to go outside? But I usually tell myself I'll go in a minute...before I know it it's several hours past due.
But I get paid for my research so that's a good thing. I need to make enough to be eligible for Social Security for this year and next. It'll be my luck they will change the rules on me and I still won't qualify. I'm just hoping my body will hold out long enough.
My followup with Barr's office suggest that I go ahead and plan on the shoulder repair surgery. Now to find a time to quit using computer so I can do that and not jeopardize the SS. A real dilemma.
Oh well, life moves on. See you for the 2nd week of August! LJ
