It's been a long time since I pulled a muscle in my back, but today that's exactly what happened. I've been wearing the dreaded black belt all day (so fashionable) and sitting. Everytime I start to get up I'm reminded that, no, I can't do anything today. So I sit back down. Standing makes it hard to breath. I had to get a cane out (oh crap) and hobble up and down stairs in slo-mo.
I'm pretty sure that when I scrubbed one wall of our enormous shower this morning I was being set up for a bad day. Funny thing is, nothing hurt then. It was a bit later when I was trying to get one leg in a pair of pants while standing that got me. You take dressing like you do breathing, no big deal, but to those of us who have even a slight difficulty, it can be a real exercise.
All of you who have no trouble dressing and reaching your socks, etc. thank the good Lord for each day you have. You don't have to ask for help, you don't have to use one of those little grab sticks for reaching that only work half the time. You don't take notice of how really far the floor is from your fingers each time you accidently drop something.
Yes, thank God for His wonderful blessings.
