So much for a plan

It's a good thing I don't rely on plans too much. Today I'd planned to go to Betty Jane's and work for a while. Mom called and said she was going to the doctor. So when I called BJ to tell her I was going with her and BJ said she had a funeral to go to that morning and a visitation for her brother's funeral that evening. Oh well. So I went with Mom.

We went everywhere today doing errands. Instead of leaving about lunchtime, Mom got ready quickly and went with me to BJ's to get rid of the filing cabinet I'd bought for her. From there we went to the Chesapeake Place assisted living, where I picked up an application for Activity Director. (Not sure I want that now with my bones rattling).

Then we headed back towards Princess Anne medical center where I dropped off the neck surgery video and requested my films and MRI back since I'm not using that surgeon. Of course, they are at another office now, so I'll be getting them later.

On the way to PA we stopped by a Food Lion to get a couple of things Mom wanted. I looked for my Food Lion brand cereal but they were out. Mom bought Danny some eclairs as well as for herself and a few other things. They were sitting on the end of the checkout counter. Good place. We put them in my little insulated bag and they rode with us the rest of the day.

Then we rolled by Lindsey's house after delivering the DVD to the doctor. I took Lindsey a jar of my hamburger soup. Dad had left her some bread on the front door. So she's set for supper! From there we headed to Pembroke and to Max and Erma's Restaurant. We've had gift cards since Christmas and Dad and Danny don't ever seem to want to go, so we went. It was real nice. We shared an appetizer plate and polished off a slice of caramel topped cheesecake. Mom insisted; I tried to hold her back!

From there we went to Mom's doctor appointment. I stayed in the car. The pink trees rained down blossom petals in the wind and was beautiful. When Mom came back she said it wasn't good. She's had many mini strokes. But she's doing everything right and to worry would be useless. At least she has use of her body and can talk and think. Keep on keeping on. She needs to get another walker, one with a seat that is heavy and could help keep her balance better. A fall would be so bad. But she's doing pretty good I think and needs to keep positive about things. It's all in God's hands.

We got back home at 2:45. My shoulder is hurting a lot now, down into my arm, from driving a lot I guess. I took a pill and will rest it some after typing this. Beautiful day!
