Last week I was contacted by my former boss, Nancy. I worked with Nancy in the Activity Dept. of Sentara Oak Grove Village assisted living facility in Chesapeake. She had gotten a new computer from Sentara and needed help getting a couple of our old programs reinstalled.
I was delighted to hear from Nancy and since we were planning to head out to run errands, nothing would do except I stop by for a quick visit. I can’t tell you how good it was to see Jackie, Nancy, and Gwen (left to right) again. I also saw a couple of residents that I’d had the privilege to work with during my 3 years at OG.
Maybe I should go back to volunteering there? That’s how I started out the first time! Who knows? I’ll give it some thought.
