When Dan got up he made us egg and bacon sandwiches for breakfast. Because I’d gotten a sale overnight I knew I would be heading to the PO, so I called Mom to see if she wanted to go to the hair dressers and get a few things done. Of course she did! (I got my gray colored Thursday – couldn’t hack it) So we spent the morning getting the mail mailed, her hair twirled, and picked up her new special shoes and left another pair to be stretched.
On the way back we stopped by the cemetery to get the holiday decorations off the family gravesites at Indian Creek Church. About the same time we got to the Fire Station her phone rang; it was Dad saying that the Ruritan BBQs were on the table at the shop.
We stopped to eat, finding Dad and Danny, Bro and Paul chowing down. After that Danny and I came home to spend a day getting things done in the sun and online.
I check the mail and the guy that had written this morning about wanting a Hawaiian shirt for a gift had finally responded. I’d written him back saying that if he bought it before 9:30am I could get it in the mail. Duh! He wrote back at 9:45am. He had bought the shirt and I now needed to go to the PO again.
By the time I’d gotten the notice it was 10 minutes before the PO closed. So we had to go to the PO at the court house (around the long way because the road is out, I might add). But we got it done. The gift is on it’s way.
Back at home once again and just getting settled; it didn’t take long before the phone rang. My neighbor bought a new printer on Wednesday. On Thursday I helped get it set up. I went to see if I could help, but I think they have a lemon. Basically I stood there while they called to find someone to honor their warranty. I told them to pack it up, take it back and demand their money back. I also told them about all our lovely printers that we’ve gotten from the thrift stores that are working fine.
At this point Danny has cleaned up and closed up the shop and is making me my little drinky-poo. Now, my day is starting to look the best of all! Kitty is waddling back and forth trying to get my attention.
Almost forgot, this morning we had 2 geese in the back yard pacing back and forth. I tried to tell them they had found the wrong house. They left for a while but this evening they are back. Maybe we’re the vacation house?
We have also sold several of our shirts this week and Cabana Threads is doing very well. I have renewed hope for it to become the success I’d envisioned.
Don’t forget the Super Moon is tonight! Biggest and Brightest and closest to the earth in 18 years.
