As of yesterday I now have 3 projects going at one time. It may be reasoned that the weather will be getting warm soon and you know how hard it is to work with hot yarn in hot months. OR it may be because a) I bought some new crochet hooks, b) I found some awesome mint green yarn, c) Hubster went to the grocery store, or d) all the above....Yeah, the answer is D.
I've had the same hooks for umpteen years. I've lost a few and loaned a few out, but my mainstays have been the J and K hooks. So I finally broke down and bought 2 new hooks, one smaller and one larger The large one is a size N and I think it is just awesome!

After finding the 2 skeins of green yarn I knew I would have to use them together somehow. One is just a tad lighter than the other and they combine so nicely. So why not just crochet with both together - and I could test my new hook at the same time.
The plan was made; all I needed was to actually sit down and do it. So yesterday, while Hubster went in the grocery store for some quick grabs I sat in the car and started my new project. I decided to try another of those backward beanie hats that start at the opening and work up to the top of the hat. When I did my first one like that, it worked up so quick and easy and since I don't want to be doing this thing in hot weather that seemed like the way to go.
Good choice. The colors mesh so well you'd think it was one color, but a close look reveals the highlighting lighter color. All I need now is another opportunity to sit in the car and wait again. Hmm, wonder if he has to go to NAPA soon?!
