Don't you just love this purplish blue tinge on the delicate edges of these violet blooms?
There are lots of things blooming outside now. In fact I saw my first Azalea bloom when I was at exercise the other day. I guess this cold is going to do some serious damage. We have our hibiscus plant inside too; I just hope it maintains and doesn't start getting leggy from reaching for the window light.
They laid Miss Clara Belle to rest yesterday. It was a lovely service...Angela, Pat and Gary sang a couple of her favorite songs. Pat played his harmonica and Patrick who is at least 6 feet tall now, played the violin! A very young great granddaughter played a short piece on the piano and a couple of granddaughters gave touching memorial speeches. It was absolutely beautiful the way the family spent the time honoring their 'grande dame.' I think this is what it's supposed to be, an event for the family. I'm sure nothing like that will ever happen in our family...for one thing we don't have half the people or the talent. Oh well.
I am enjoying my exercise a lot. So far I've gone twice a week. This is an affordable program given by my therapy place. They have now combined all my exercises from my last 2 sessions (back and neck) so that I can keep up the good works. It's nice having a pro standing by too, in case I need to know something. My biggest fear is that I will be over-zealous and hurt myself in the process. They keep an eye out for me ;)
Our little stores online are doing well. As always we have lots of stuff to be listing and never enough time. You will have to go to my Eccentric Thrifter blog to see what all we found on our last excursion.
