Today Dan had another eye appointment. It just kept bothering him since the other day when we got back in the SUV after eating out. We didn't know if something blew out of the air conditioning vent and flew into his eye or what. The doc basically said it's old age. Sounds like Dan has floaters.
From: http://www.naturaleyecare.com/diseases.asp?d_num=6Most floaters are age-related, due to degenerative changes of the vitreous humour or retina that results in the release of connective tissue (protein) into the vitreous humour.I keep telling him it's time to start wearing sunglasses. The sun is not shining like it was in the 70s. The earth's filters are not up to snuff and we can really do some damage to our eyes and sky if we are not proactive. Plus glasses would help protect against foreign crap that the air is full of these days...the hot dry wheat fields all around us don't help, I'm sure!
Me, I'm doing good. I've had several sales since Friday including one by telephone before lunch today. Since we were heading out to the doc appointment I suggested meeting the lady at McDonald's on Battlefield so she wouldn't have to drive all the way out here. She lives in Kempsville and had offered to pick up her purchase. Love it when a plan comes together...it went perfectly.
I've been working on a genealogy project for a client. It seems like it's been so long since I've done any genealogy research. I've continued to be contacted by people who found my website, GenThreads, online. Recently I went to update the site and found I couldn't get on. After a week of waiting for tech support I bit the bullet, changed to a new server and even paid for an upgrade. I figure I'm going to be keeping the site up for the next few years anyway, so this way I get added features and excellent support.
As I said I've missed doing research and am almost finished with Client #1. Now I have been contacted by another person doing a search so I have client #2 waiting in the wings. Plus I want to do a little revamping on my site too... enlarging photos, regrouping some pages, minor updating in general.
It's been too hot and dry to be outside lately anyway, and I'm just as content to say home in my comfy pjs and work here. We are running outside to water veggies and flowers in the evenings What's not to love?!
