Old Boats Never Die

As much as I wish this one would go away I guess it’s giving at least one of us some pleasure. Just when I was about ready to turn it into a giant container garden He decides to clean it up and work on it again. This has been sitting in my yard for 20 years; I think the last time he worked on it was about 15 years ago. I do not count moving it from one side of the yard to another as even close to working on it.
I guess he really does like the heat…he’s been working on this thing while it’s been incredibly hot outside. Suggesting sunscreen was frowned upon, but I think my counter-suggestion that I’ll take him to the dermatologist to wait while they cut the future cancers off him has had the impact I was looking for. If you’re going to be foolish enough to work on something no one wants, at least don’t kill yourself doing it.

This is what I get for marrying a boat mechanic.
