We Made It!

Today is our 17th anniversary. I wondered if we'd make it this far at times. But we did. I think we're getting stronger every day too. Maybe some people are more hard-headed than others or set in their ways. Whatever, Danny & I are good with each other and I wouldn't change it, well, maybe a few things here and there but for the most part... You get my drift. Anyway, Happy Anniversary to Us!heart
Today we had an early appointment, then slipped by the thrift store before breakfast. They have started a new thing and October is the first month that they have 30% off the entire store on Wednesdays. They already had 50% off clothing and linens. So the whole store is on sale. It kinda makes up for the fact that they took all the furniture out of this store. I sure do miss being able to sit down a spell though.
Dan bought a couple more videos. He hardly ever watches them, but he now has a nice collection. Maybe this winter we'll do movie night with a big bowl of popcorn. TV has gotten so crappy anyway.
I found a couple of short sleeved shirts for me to wear to work (we don't dress, remember?), which I'm going to go throw into the washer in a minute. Being "pre-meno" I get hot more often now. I'm sure winter won't be a problem for me.
I also got a couple of glassware dishes. They look to be early; I haven't done my research yet, but I'm sure they'll be online somewhere before long - as soon as I clean them up and take their pictures.
Speaking of pictures, I accidentally dropped my camera the other day. It slipped like greased lightening and I thought it was undamaged because, unlike the previous one, it did not have the lens out. I was wrong. It doesn't do bright shots at all. Anyway I've been researching on eBay for another one after checking into repair costs. I was outbid on one 2 days ago, but today I was the winner. I feel kinda bad though, the high bidder is apparently new to eBay, had no feedback so no purchases prior, and I'm sure he sat there for 18 hours thinking "I'm gonna win this thing because no one else has bid." What he didn't realize was that I had put in a secret bid that went into action at the last minute. It bid for me and it was "all over, Alice!" Since I already had everything else (charger, cables, etc) I only needed the camera itself. I got an excellent deal. I can't wait.
Tonight Mom & Dad are taking us to dinner at the Oyster Bar in Elizabeth City for Dan's birthday. Actually they are taking him out because he's done so many repairs on mowers and wheelers, and tillers, and just being there to help when needed. I'm just along for the ride. It'll be nice though. I think the only time just the 4 of us do anything is for the evening meal on Christmas Day when we get together for leftovers. (I think we enjoy that more than Christmas just because it's quiet).
Enough said, I gotta do washing. Enjoy your day wherever you are!
