Daddy had his 2nd eye surgery this week. He had more stitches put in the corner of his left eye that droops so much. Poor Daddy, you know, you can't be asleep for this stuff. I'm sure it was so hard for him to make himself go back a second time. He slept most of the next day, or at least stayed inside for most of it. He's not to lift and bend. (Hello? are you listening, Dad?) His eye looks better although it was a black eye. But you can't keep a good man down, or from hunting. That's where he is today. I guess he needs to see if he can keep his streak going.
I spoke with Melissa last night. They are going camping this weekend. I thought it sounded cold, but she reminded me that she and Rob have gone in December before. Oh well, more power to ya! Better them than me.
Lindsey has been very busy lately. We didn't know but her cell phone charger had quit, then her batteries ran out, so we couldn't get hold of her. Unable to catcher her at work we were getting kinda worried. I got her at work finally, just before I was going to leave with Danny and swing by her house and see if she was sick. But everything is copasetic.
An interesting side note: I went to check the spelling of copasetic and found out it's one of the few words that they aren't sure where it really came from. Check it out for yourself.
Work is plugging along. Dan has more to do at home what with people calling him to fix stuff. He says he's getting closer all the time to maybe opening his own little shop. I say he's already got an open shop!
Right now I'm working on developing a new web site for the Creeds Ruritan Club. Mom told someone that they should get up with me for help and here I am. The guy is coming over today to learn a few tricks. I'm hoping from this I'll get a few more jobs. I like doing this kind of stuff, as you well know.
I feel like the only one who has a Christmas tree still up from last year who isn't waiting for a military guy or something. Mom gave us her old one last year, which we put, for lack of better space, in the corner of the dining room. I took pictures, thinking maybe I'd put it online. Only God knows how I'd ship it without a box! So this week Dan helps me take it apart so we can test the only big box we have. You don't have to ask. No it didn't. But it was a good place for the bottom half, so we decided to cut our losses down a bit and are now the proud owners of a mini Christmas tree in our dining room, thank you very much! At least we can walk around it now.
I found Mom another camera to replace the Olympus Digital that quit on her. I was so excited, went over there with the box, pulled out all the wires and all, got ready to plug the base into her computer and... No Available USB. She only has 2 outlets and her printer is on one and Cox plugged her Internet box into the other. She has a very old tower running Windows 98 on it. I've been telling her she needed to upgrade, especially since there are no more updates and patches from Microsoft. They have totally stopped support. Anyway, the black Casio S880, like new condition is here. Good deal available.
