Dad got the Big Ones!

Today was a very good day for Daddy. He got a deer. Not just one deer, but two! Needless to say he was a very happy camper (no, make that "hunter") Mom and I went over to the shop to offer our congratulations and to take photos. I think all the guys were really happy for him.

These deer were none too shabby either. I don't know the sizes but just looking at them they were very big! The club has a pool for the heaviest kill of the season. All I know is that now one of Dad's deer is the one to beat!

The one on the right as you look at the photo, is the largest one, very wide thru the body. He's a 6 pointer. His horns are larger and thicker on the side in Dad's hand, very lopsided.
The deer with the red is a 5 pointer, again nothing to sneeze at, but just a tad smaller in girth.
Hummmm... I'm thinking maybe deer roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, onions, carrots, peas, and a few other delights for Christmas dinner?!!!!
