I have been working on crocheting a black and gray hat and scarf set for a customer. I started out with part of a skein, thinking I might have enough for both pieces. After making the hat and starting the scarf I just didn't quite have enough. So I went to the craft store and bought another skein. It was just a tad lighter in color so I started another hat with the new skein.
I figured since I had a FULL skein I'd have the extra I needed to do both pieces. So I finish the 2nd hat and Hello!? no, it is not going to happen. I don't have enough for the scarf.
Back to the store for another skein, this time taking my color sample to be darn sure. It was only 2 days apart, they couldn't possibly have sold them all. No, they are there and they match. So now I am almost finished with the scarf and will send it to my customer this weekend. But I ended up with an extra brand new hat!
