Crochet History

I learned to crochet 35 years ago from a lady in Ohio. It wasn't much, just a couple of stitches; and I used up all the yarn I could find making afghans. I still have "Blankie" made in 1973 using the big box of yarn my mother gave me for my 20th birthday. After I moved back to VA everyone received an afghan for their birthday or Christmas. Then I started making toboggan hats for my children. Their school and college friends also got hats. Now my now grown daughters sell them to co-workers. While my hats are simple in design they are extremely warm and comfortable, exactly what is needed on a cold winter's day!
