Kinda Tough Weekend

Yesterday was really kinda tough. I got up early to get some computer time, which was cool. Then I went over to take Mom to her hair appointment. It was ok for me, but not good for Mom. She had taken a pill the night before for the headache she's had since her fall a week ago. BUT this pill was something that she couldn't take. Long story short it made her sick and miserable for almost the whole day. I've made a note about that drug and I won't be taking it either, should the need arise. We are both allergic to codeine and I particularly, will not take any narcotics in any form because of the incredible nausea and motion problems they present.

After I had hip replacements I left the hospital with Tylenol, no big pain pills, just Tylenol. I'd rather have the pain than the sickness - that only gives me 2 problems to deal with. Cut your losses, I say.

We're still working to get Dan's shop computer set up. Seems when I had changed a few programs, added a new CD drive on the thing back when I still used it, Microsoft decided I must be using a different computer and changed my setting from validated to invalidated regarding the operating system. Needless to say, we can no longer get updates. The logical answer now, is to wipe the computer clean and put in a new OS. I was luck enough to get a KEY for the new Microsoft Windows 7, that is still in beta. We're debating whether to try it or not.

It's sunny outside and almost 12 noon. An old co-worker from City Garage is visiting so I'm checking out now while my computer finishes uploading files to the online storage. (I'm not taking any chances ever again after 2 screw-ups in the past nearly lost all my genealogy files)!
