I’m currently in the process of setting up a new store. I have Art Fire, which is a really good site for year-round items. I sell crocheted winter hats and scarves and the overhead is just too costly.
In the meantime, I've been researching the "handmade" sites for quite some time now using QuantCast and Alexa data. Very few sites are moving up in the ranks with Art Fire & Silkfair the two consistently going in the right direction.
Art Fire is in the final throws of it's $7/month deal and should move into the $20/month soon. No selling fee for AF, just the monthly "rent." Silkfair is free to list with a 3% selling fee. SF has eBay feedback import too. If anyone has used SF let me know what you think!
