The Weekend, sunny and mild

We went to church at BBC again. It certainly had less people than for Easter Sunday, but it was still a lot better than staying home. This week there were only 6 in the choir. I met the director, Susan and after hearing my harmony while singing hymns, she wants me to come help them. Not sure, although I would love to. Part of the problem is leaving Danny alone. I know he enjoys it better sitting with me. I think for now we need to let things mellow a bit longer.

Dan set it up so he can speak with Greg on Wednesday. He just has a couple of questions to settle before he gets more committed to attend.

We worked in the yard some today, but couldn’t do much because we just didn’t want to hurt our backs. We moved the little bush at the road over to the corner in front of the shop; we moved the bush that had been temporarily planted  by the corner of the deck. That is now at the corner of the parking lot. And the old cherry tree that was up near the road is no more at all. It was down to about 18 inches high and was rotten enough that we just pushed it over. At least Danny won’t have to cut grass around it anymore; either one for that matter. And with the front of the deck cleared we may just put our tomatoes over there again.

This morning I had my first hummingbird. I quickly got my feeders scrubbed and out so we could enjoy watching them drink.

I sold the Snugli baby backpack that I bought a few weeks ago. They got a deal; I got a deal. Win-win all around! I’ll get that packed and shipped tomorrow.

My neck no longer makes my arm tingle, but it’s gotten so stiff it’s really hard to turn it. I do a lot of “forward” looking anymore and try not to use dog-leg intersections when driving.

I’m getting ready to get more cookbooks printed so if you know someone who never got one put your order in soon!

Every time I fill the bird bath it leaks out. So now we’ve got to dry it out so Dan can put more sealer on it. It’s kinda cool – we have little stalactites beneath the bowl from the dripping water. I guess it’s been doing it for a while now.

6 more weeks and I should have my social security quarters all paid in and in the proper order! That will be such a burden off my back, no pun intended. It’s my back that started all this!
