Looks like we’ll be filling a couple of boxes this week. The church is hosting a yard sale next Saturday. This morning, while we ate our breakfast on the deck, enjoying the hummingbirds, Dan decided that maybe we ought to participate. Wow! I never even had to ask! “Of course, let’s do!” We don’t have much time, but you know, if we had more time we’d probably still just wait until it was almost time before moving our butts!
So I’m getting out a couple of empty boxes and, beginning with my store stock, I’ll be going through items that are no longer necessary in the Jordan household. I’ve been keeping pretty good records each month of how many of my store items get interest hits and have a good idea about which ones will never sell, which ones are too much trouble, etc. This yard sale will be a pretty good motivator!
In the house we’ve got lots of cabinets full of things that never see daylight and we’ve talked about getting rid of some of this stuff. Looks like the talking ends and walking the walk begins! Of course, we still have a number of items that we need to take to an appraiser and/or auction; they are just not ‘yard sale’ items.
This week I’ll be researching some prices and for large items (like the garage exercise equipment) I’ll take photos to post during the yard sale. Danny can run home with a potential customer and have show and tell
