Sleep and Decor

I am so tired today. Sleep has been so weird ever since the daylight savings changed. By 6pm I'm ready for bed. Then I end up asleep by 8:30 (there's hardly anything good on TV anymore, even with 100 channels). If we're supposed to get 6-8 hours sleep each night guess what time that makes me want to get up? Really, around 3-4pm. Something's not right here. Add to that the fact that I have not one, but two snorers now (yes, Abbie snores too). It doesn't look pretty does it?

I have the Christmas tree up as much as it's going to be up this year. I must say that when I do get up in the middle of the night, the tree makes a delicious nightlight. It's so beautiful. I keep saying that next year I'm going to put it in the bedroom. At least I'll be seeing it more since I don't see if much in the daytime while I'm working in my office.

This year we weeded out many ornaments without sentimental attachments and sent them to new homes via the local thrift store. I feel good for doing my part to make someone else's Christmas brighter. Fa-la-la.

This morning I was thinking of moving the snow village from the buffet in the hall to the living room where I have the House That Betty Built. Sometimes I like to have them all together. If I did make the move then I'd have a place to put the manger scene and the Three Wise Men That Danny's Grandmother Made. Right now they are sitting on the mantle piece in a very non-glamorous way.

Following those slight edits to the Christmas atmosphere of my home I'd soon be able to finish up with all the remaining boxes of decorations waiting for their turn at daylight.

Guess I'll go wrap some more presents while I think on it all a bit more.
