The nasty weather is closing in on us! The weather map is almost totally green except for a teeny tiny area. So far I'm in that area.
It's dark outside, but no rain yet. The temperature has dropped a lot. In fact, this morning I was pruning on my two Knockout roses with just a flannel shirt on. Little Abby enjoyed running around. A few minutes ago she needed to "go" and it didn't take her long to do her thing and scamper back to the house - she doesn't like cold.
Naturally, the daffodils that I've been watching and waiting for have just opened like yesterday.
I wish now I'd walked out there and taken some pictures of my lovely camellia bush too. A quick trek out there as the sprinkles start and I got this to show for it.
It's loaded with gorgeous variegated pink and white flowers and buds and I bet the ice is going to demolish everything. Bummer.
Oh well.... the little-bitty hyacinth plants are still in the green stage at about 2 inches high so they should have no trouble in a week or so. I can always look forward to that.
