You know how the weather has been up and down temperature-wise lately? This past week we had a simply awesome day. It was so warm outside that I convinced Dad to let me bundle him up and get him on the back porch for a while.
It was just lovely to see him enjoying the birds and looking down the canal near the house. Several chickadees came right up beside him to the big flower pot turned feeder.
I got in the yard and took photos of the little garden he planted last Fall after his new meds had kicked in giving him more energy than he'd had for quite sometime. He had planted collards and kale right beside the porch. He viewed my pictures and checked over the porch edge before pronouncing that they'd probably be able to get another 'mess' out of them again. I'm sure it won't be long before that happens.
He's got two therapists coming in so he's getting some workouts that wear him out. His hand is still swollen and he's doing rather well learning to eat like a leftie. Next week we have a new lady coming who will help Mom keep up with some mundane things around the house as well as helping make sure that no one falls again. And, I'll still be around in the mornings for a while too.
This weekend will be a good one. Tomorrow I get another massage to get all my kinks out again. In the evening we will celebrate Bro's birthday and Missy has arrived to cheer up everyone's spirits. Looking forward to some good memorable times with family.
