Nursing Home Hands

I'm working on those hand warmers lately. I really like doing these. A small project that travels well, is quick to finish in about 2 hours (for me in front of a TV), doesn't take much yarn so I can use up some piece of skeins.

I've spent my entire crocheting career avoiding the 'crochet in the back loops only' simply because I found them tedious. But as you can probably see these are made using that technique. I find I love the row effect, which is way more obvious when using the plain yarn.

I can't wait to take some to the nursing home... hopefully these are the kind they were looking for.
