Missy had her birthday at the very beginning of June. But we didn't get to see her until Father's Day weekend. We hadn't forgotten though, and even though I'm a day late and many dollars short, I didn't forget to share some of the birthday photos!
We actually celebrated at Creeds Cafe with a great early supper. We were too full to have dessert and decided on a few after-dinner drinks on our back deck.
It was the first time we'd all been on the deck since we fixed the pool cut-out (where the boards were cut in a semi-circle). We enjoyed the cool of the evening while watching the birds fly in for an evening meal. As light diminished we lit a few candles.
We all had a great time together and Missy enjoyed her new beach towel. I always get a kick out of seeing my girls together!
Of course, being Father's Day weekend, my sister-in-law's dad and Danny enjoyed the spot-light too. And we thought about how we missed Daddy, but were happy at the thought that he was in no more pain.
A bittersweet day made more glorious because family is family no matter how far apart we are; we know we are always linked together.
