So far not so bad, this Friday the 13th. We took Mom for a doc appointment and followed up with a visit to I-Hop for lunch. Gosh, but they absolutely have the best potato soup in the world! We left there to pick up prescriptions and headed home.
About the only thing that's been 13-ish is the stupid cold. It was down in the 20s today, barely reaching 30. It's hard to dress for cold. You bundle up, head to toe and then get hot as the dickens in the car before you get where you're going. But soon enough we'll be wishing for cooler temperatures when summer arrives. Our weather is always funny. Last night we had snow flurries after a day in the 50s. Go figure!
Hubster is currently working on the water in our refrigerator door. I think Friday the 13th was 2 days ago. Last week after I got some water it wouldn't quit running. This week we awoke one morning to no water at all. So he buys a new filter thinking that when he worked on the leak in the garage a week ago something must be clogging up. He gets a nice lovely new filter that installs inside the refrigerator where all the food is. Crapola! The filter is leaking. (At least we have water now). Takes it out again, then notices how it's a tad bit different from the old one that worked. A-haaa! They have now omitted a cute little O-ring. So he grabs the new O-ring from the new filter, throws it on the old filter and installs. Dang! No water again.
Hopefully Friday the 13th will be lucky for us. He's still piddling with it after all this time - I now hear a hairdryer running in the kitchen. Who knows? I might end up with a hot box instead of an ice box before it's all over.
