It finally got warm enough for the Crochet Club to meet again. Nobody wanted to go out in the cold, wet, icy night that has been our norm for the last 8 weeks. Besides, it was rather dangerous to be negotiating slick steps. But all that's changed now.
Tuesday night we got back to business with five of us in attendance (the others were actually at a meeting on the other end of church). We always have a fabulous time when we get together, no matter how many shows up. On this night it was Sue, Beverly, Pat, Jennifer, and me, with Carrie popping in a few times. While crocheting the stories flow with lots of laughter and good fun.
We're starting another "Cancer Hats" campaign. It's been quite a while since we last did a donation, when we took 70 hats to the Oncology office my dad used. They were so grateful to get them.
Back then many members were just learning how to crochet. Since then members have learned so many stitches and honed their crochet skills. Some now use the Knifty Knitter looms to turn out hat projects. I have a feeling that it won't take nearly as long to get our hats made as it did before.
We're grateful for the many donations of yarn we've received. Every little bit helps. And every bit goes to a good cause!
