Experimentation In Stitches

This hat may look a little weird on this adult manikin but this child's hat looked so cute when I tried it on little Miss K at church (even if she did immediately take it off). This was my first attempt at making a brimmed hat after watching the BobWilson123 video Crochet Spring / Easter Hat Tutorial. This was an easy stitch to learn and makes you looks like you know what you're doing LoL! Now I just need to add some flower decor!

Another experiment I did was creating a border by crocheting in and out through the vertical posts. I think it turned out very well. Next I made a gray hat with a double border twice as deep. It too looks great and add so much interest to a hat without a lot of fru-fru. Love this stitch! Instructions for this was at the end of the  BobWilson123 video Granny Square Hat Crochet Tutorial
