What a week! Last Thursday was the anniversary of my Dad's graduation to Heaven. So needless to say, we were all a little stressed in the days ahead as well as on that day. My daughters both came home to help us remember and celebrate that milestone as well as my bro's birthday which was 3 days before.
It was also the day of my cataract surgery. Add more stress onto what's already there, plus I was starving most of the day since my appointment wasn't until 1pm. (Always schedule early in the day if possible)!
Stress often gives me an IBS attack. I had one at a restaurant the previous Friday as well as Tuesday. Knowing the whole family was going to dinner together was a big worry too. Luckily, I took preventative measures beforehand and everything went well.
We went to a new place for us... Shiki Sushi and Hibachi, at Mt. Pleasant and Centerville (near Farm Fresh). The eight of us had ring-side seats in front of the two hibachi chefs who cooked our food. I had the salmon. OMG... too awesome! I think this is our new "go-to" place for future events!
To let you know, my eye surgery went well. I've noticed the colors are brighter when I close my other eye, but at least things aren't blurry anymore! Now if I can just finish using all these drops 4 times a day...!
