Why would I keep on buying yarn at the thrift store when I already have so much waiting to be used? I keep finding great deals, that's why! Here's some of my latest 'deals.' You can see I already made a hat, shown in the upper left corner. Many of these skeins are the really nice fluffy stuff. I'll be making quite a few hats soon, in anticipation of the next craft show. Fall is my only time to do shows - like, who wants to buy a winter hat in Spring?
Yeah, my recycled plastic bag plarn mat is nearly finished!!!! It's never going to be perfect, but I have it in a 'tolerable' state now and can live with it like it is. I'm doing a white border to add width and length to the mat. I know white sounds crazy, but I think it will be easier to see in the dark... we were talking about homeless people sleeping on the ground so I don't figure there might be much more than a flashlight, right?
It currently measures 68 inches long x 30 inches wide.
I think my next plarn project will be more on line with a tote bag!
