Woodland Critters

We're having a good time using our game camera. Hubster's been investigating a hole he found in the woods. He set up the camera to see what went in that hole. What a surprise!

The hole is near the base of a fallen tree root ball, so it looks like a big hill.

First there was this fox that seemed really interested - he kept going round and round, front side and back, trying to find a way in with no luck.

Then this deer came by a few times, day and night. Not really interested in the hole, but I guess there's some delicious smells around there; I know the trilians are coming up now.

Finally we got a true answer of the resident of the hole when this big brown blob suddenly appeared. He meandered around and finally showed us his face before scurrying back to the hole.

We saw a ground hog come out of the woods a few years ago, right out into our yard. Guess he wasn't just passing by after all!
