There is music in the air today. at least I call it music. The woods are alive with the sounds of a ba-zillion frogs calling for rain. Rain is in the forecast; I'm not sure how much we'll get, if any. But the frogs know. When you walk outside there's this dull hum, just a steady ringing, like when your ears ring. This sound adds a sharpness to the day, a crisp new feeling that something is about to happen. I like it. It makes one want to just sit still a moment and let go of all your troubles and just listen. God tells us to do just that when we're looking for Him. "Be still and know that I am God."
We try so hard all the time at everything. Sometimes it's best to let it all go and just take a moment to breath deep and savor the moment. Often the more we try the worse things get until we're faced with that moment when we cry out for someone or something to help us.
Usually that's God who answers our call. He's always waiting, even after we've pushed Him to points where normal folks would be saying "see ya, wouldn't wanta be ya!" Next time He answers don't forget to say thanks. And in the meantime take a moment to enjoy the music in the air!
