It is in the 80°s again today. I guess because I'm too heavy it gets too hot earlier. A good reason to lose some weight I guess. Danny likes it hot. He keeps talking about going to the Bahamas some day and I keep asking why would anyone want to go where it's hot all the time? Not that I want to go where it's cold. I'm more of a fall person.
I like the crisp air that gives you that invigorating feeling when you step outside. And when it's cold enough to really enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and you feel cozy, that's more me. We used to talk about whether we'd want a cabin in the mountains or a cottage on the beach. All four of us always said we'd prefer the mountains. I'm thinking Danny's changing somewhat in his old age.
He tells me it will make my arthritis feel better as if it's a selling point. I don't know, maybe a short visit someday soon will be the determining factor.
This morning I had jury duty! I went in, the first time all month, and after sitting through the video and thumbing through the magazines we headed up to the courtroom. As it turned out I knew one of the people in the trial so I was let go. Who knew?! So I got back home about 12:30 and had a nice lunch with Danny. He told me I'd been called for an interview with a technology company in Virginia Beach. Why, I just faxed the resume over this morning before I left! So tomorrow I will go talk to them and see what's up.
It's supposed to rain soon. The leaves on the trees are turning over so I'm sure it's coming. And of course those frogs are still singing for rain. I guess when it finally gets here it'll either make things cool off a bit or make them muggier! This is Virginia Beach and home of humidity, you know.
