Good weekend ahead

I think it will be a fairly good weekend. It's starting off that way so far. The sun is shining, rain is called for later. Everything seems pleasant. This morning I had to whipstitch a jacket hem for Lindsey before she went to work. Everything went wrong then. Couldn't see to thread the needle, got knots in the old thread that she's had for too long, and sewing black on black made me end up on the front steps for light; of course I had to stab myself a couple of times just for good measure.

We had not one but two big ol' rabbits out by the greenhouse this morning. I'd been thinking maybe the cat had eliminated all of them, but there they were. And poor Kitty was asleep on an old cushion by the back door! So apparently they were no big deal for him. Kitty has been camping out by the south end of the deck lately. I imagine he's waiting for his chance to snag a little mockingbird. You can hear them in the holly bush. The parents do a great job of dive-bombing Kitty to keep him in check.

I didn't have to work today. I guess we got things caught up for the last 2 days. It's good to be home because I'm now starting to think I have injured my rotator cuff in my right shoulder. I've had problems for the last couple of months. I've been wondering if the cartilege continues to leave my joints what it would be like to just rattle away with nothing connected. I vaguely remember trying to move a pillow while laying in bed and having my arm hurt. I usually prop it up and sometimes it'll fall unexpectedly when Dan moves a pillow prop. Then it really hurts. He thinks this is from the injections, but it started before. I have limited mobility for the weekend to try to rest it.

Melissa has written twice now. Since she's now in areas with little access to internet I don't expect to hear from her again until next week. We have a lot of people praying for her safety while in Africa.
One of the boats is leaving this morning. Danny finally finished fixing one of them and the man is coming soon. Another big thing out of my yard. Woo-Hoo! Dan's going to check into getting a business license and seeing what his options are towards working from home on a regular basis. It would be good, if it's small stuff, not big boats! But whatever!

Lindsey's friends, Layne and Meagan, are coming out this weekend. So we might actually get to see Lindsey for a change. Who knows? We might even hit a yard sale or two. She says Wes is out doing Navy stuff again now so she's been enjoying her new friend who is the wife of Wes' best friend.
It's all good! Don't forget Mother's Day is Sunday!
