Love the Flowers

Yesterday after church Danny & I went to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens AKA Azalea Gardens. It was a perfect day. I haven't been there in several years and even though it was long past time for the azaleas to be in bloom there was plenty of other things to see. We especially enjoyed the butterfly garden which was alive with winged visitors. They loved the zinnias a lot and I hope to plant more earlier next year. Mine are, sadly, about 6 inches high, except for the one that came up from last year. A big red one all alone.

Today I had a lovely fish dinner with fried okra and spoon bread with my folks. They had fresh tomatoes as well; I don't eat tomatoes unless they're on a sandwich or taco or used with something besides being plain. It was all terrific to say the least!

I've been working on Betty Jane's genealogy. I've had some really good luck today, finding things I looked for a year ago and seemingly "walking right to it" today. As with any genealogy it's always an ongoing project.

Tomorrow I work in the morning and I'll try to enter some items on eBay in the afternoon. As long as the computer is working and there's no storm forcing me to unplug everything I'm in business!
