Guess What?! We saw a bear! Yesterday Danny & I were coming back from Camden and decided to come through Old Swamp Road. Lo! And Behold! There he goes, crossing the road just a little ways in front of us! We were so stunned and surprised it took a moment to sink in! A minute later, after exclaiming to each other "We saw a bear!" about 50 times I had to call somebody.
Ring, ring!! Nope, Melissa and Lindsey are both away from their phones. Bummer! So we called Mom and Dad. I forgot to say hi when she answered. I simply hollered "We Just Saw a Bear!" Randy got on the phone and I told my tale again, sharing where it was, what side of the road and all the details.
Everytime Mom & Dad travel that way they hope to catch sight of one and haven't yet. Maybe this will bring them some luck. It was so very exciting for us. I know other folks see bears all the time, but not us. Certainly not me! I missed the baby buzzards, but I had a front row seat for the bear! You guys make a note of it!
